Description: Intricate forged steel motifs overlay a skirt of beaten copper, while utilitarian concerns are met in the form of 3 sliding drawers made from heavily figured cherry wood. The rich combination of materials, texture and color make this a seminal piece.

Description: This design evolved from the Ford stair railing, adding a graceful sweep to the lower leg and terminating in the classical foot detail. The central brass lotus bud draws the separate elements together into a harmonious composition of sensuous lines and botanical references.
