Description: Here, repetition of form sets up a distinctly lyrical rhythm. Within the framework of the bellying pickets are individual elements that give the piece a sense of playfulness. The vertical pickets are 'hot' split and forged out laterally, then formed over a jig. This creates the effect of a picture window in which the unique floral features exist.
In addition to the hand forged cap rail, brass accents form 'collars' that structurally connect elements, adding color and contrast to the forged steel.
