Smith Hitching Rings & Chain

Construction: 2006/2007. Forged bronze
Description: Linking two monolithic stone piers, the forged bronze rings and chain are designed as elements of visual interest rather than forming a purposeful barrier. Each of the chain links are formed from 5/8" square stock and span an 8-foot opening.

Description: The forged solid bronze cresting sits high up on the stepped roofline of the residence and the 'Y' is emblematic of the family crest. A second variation on this design was created for the front of the building.
